Emiah Bingley commits to Iowa State

@KneeGusto, no need to warn, our goal is for Emiah to get her degree, AND help Iowa State win a National Championship, She won an AAU National Championship, so she's got a lil experience at that lol.. At Arson, thanks for all the support again. We are headed out in a few to see if we can snag some gear. We are totally excited first because coach Fennelly thought enough of Emiah to recruit, and secondly because of the great fans, and support that you have there. If she's getting this much support now, I can only imagine when she scores her first 2 pts!! Looking forward to coming down, and watching some games this year, and following this years team, while hearing Emiah scream at the t.v. and go crazy about wishing she was there to help when we watch the team play on television this yr. All of you guys have been great, and I can promise you all this. She will give her absolute best for 4yrs....

Is Emiah still playing this summer? Have a couple buds that officiate the AAU circuit. Hope she can get her teammates to look also. I know Coach has his eyes on a couple more KC kids!

Thanks, guys. I think we are going to shut it down for the summer. She has some aches, that we are going to allow to heal. Then we will do some shooting work, and get in the weight room. She wants to have a great senior season tomake sure coach knows he made the right choice. She's only 30 pts from 1000 for her career, and only 32 from the school scoring record. She is also close to 500 rebounds from the guard position. She wants to get stronger so she can rebound more!! So she will rest hit the gym with a shooting coach in about a month, and be ready for HS Ball.

Welcome to the Nation,RB. A Lee's Summit clone here. In fact, my daughter is an '09 grad of West (she was into music and theater, though). I'm enough of a sports nut that i still go to a lot of West FB, VB, GBB, and BBB games. it will be even more fun this year knowing that Luke and Emiah are headed to Ames.

I have enjoyed watching Emiah's game grow the last three years. They had a strong finish last year, playing much better in that sectional game against Blue Springs than in that early season game. Looks like they will have a decent core coming back to build on that finish.

Oh, it is frustrating finding Cyclone gear in KC. i usually stock up when i am up in Iowa. Maybe we can get the Hy-Vee on Ward to add some with the exposure Luke and Emiah will be getting for ISU in Lee's Summit this year:smile:
Never know, the store's manager may just be looking for an excuse. His nephew kicked five field goals for ISU to beat Iowa in '07.

Finally, tell EB to keep that attitude about an NCAA championship. You saw what happened for the D-Train last spring.

I had a chance to play against Emiah on her visit to ISU. She is going to be a great one by the time her career is over. Reminds me a little bit of Sledge. Quick and tough as nails.

Assuming your Mom is at least 55, and the Lee's Summit School District does not change their policy, tell her she can get into games at West for free.
