This is not just any other no-hitter. This was a no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox!

Gutty game from Francisco but one could hardly call it pretty.

That's one of the worst no hitters in the history of baseball. Good for him but only half of his pitches were for strikes. Just shows you how bad the Sox are right now.

The worst no-hitter is still a no-hitter.

Actually, no - by definition these would be "worse" no-hitters than what Liriano threw:

Nine-inning no-hitters in a losing effort

Unlike a perfect game, in which no batters reach base, in regular no-hitters batters can reach base in other ways, such as a walk, an error, or a hit batsman, thus it is possible for the team pitching the no-hitter to lose. On April 23, 1964, Ken Johnson of the Houston Colt .45s became the only pitcher to lose a complete game no-hitter in nine innings when he was beaten 1-0 by Cincinnati. The winning run was scored by Pete Rose in the top of the ninth inning via an error, groundout, and another error.[11] In 1967, Steve Barber and Stu Miller of the Baltimore Orioles pitched a combined no-hitter, but lost 2-1 to the Detroit Tigers.[12]

His opponent tonight threw a worse no hitter.

If this means the Sox decide to make some changes, though, I'm happy for it. They're more lifeless than bin Laden right now.

If the umpire would have called strikes that appeared inside of the strike zone box on the TV, he would have breezed through the game. His curve wasn't as good as it could be, but his cuttrer was working. Hope this pumps up the Twins and they get going when everybody is back.

Twins needed a boost. It's a long year but you want to stay within striking distance. I'd like to see them 5 games back from the division leader by the All-Star break...obviously I'll take better than that.
