Nope, never have.

Have a good story though. I was in Risk Management with Dr. Power. During one of his exams which was in a typical Gerdin classroom there was a kid in the back row with a cheat sheet below the table on their thigh. He quietly walked around to the back of the room and in one quick motion raised his hand into the air, slammed it down on the test, crumpled it, and said "get out, you're done!" Everyone in the class probably jumped a foot out of their chair when his hand hit the table. It was awesome.
I really liked Dr. Power. Good guy.

I proctored a Hist 222 test Spring 1999. Some kid in the balcony at Curtiss obviously had a cheat sheet in his burnt orange Texas baseball cap. Everytime I moved away from him, he took his cap off and put it on the desk where he could see his notes. When I moved towards him, he replaced the cap on his head. I bet I made that idiot take his hat off and put it back on 100 times in 1 1/2 hours. Probably had 30 other students cheating right under my nose because I was too busy ******* with the kid in the hat.

I have an Advanced Torts Law final at 1:30. Sorry.

The class was Poli Sci 215 w/Dr. Politics. I loved the class, this guy couldn't care less. It was almost fun taking it twice, becuase I would go the other way on the questions where I had a hard time deciding between two answers.

Can you take my poli sci 215 final with Dr. Deam on Thursday at 9:45? lol

My calculator has more notes in it than most of my notebooks do.

Philosophy 230: Professor told us to bring paper for our final, he released 5 questions he might ask us to write essays about the week before, I wrote 4 essays and took them to class with me so no matter what combination of questions was on the final, I could answer the required 2. He never once said the paper had to be blank :wideeyed:

You're a bastard! :cute:

I only cheat if its a large lecture and I have absolutely no idea what the answer is. And when/if I cheat, I make sure the person I'm cheating off of has a clue of whats going on. So, I will compare an answer I know is right with their's and see if they got it correct as well.
Now, if that lecture has 6-7 different test versions. Then I'm SOL. :biglaugh:
I'm also very experienced in typing formulas and key notes into my graphing calculator. However, as long as they aren't banned from the test I don't see that as cheating, just using my resources.

This is exactly how I look at it. You have the $100 calculator, you're just using all it's functions. No different than using addition or subtraction on it, which are also functions. Some things are just a convenience, like I've got a program that does the quadratic formula for me so I don't have to do all the work every damn time.

Cheated all the time. College is the biggest scam of them all...don't get me wrong I loved my time at ISU but it's a racket and anyone that says different is full of it. I could have taken about a 6-8 week course in my profession and learned as much as I did my whole time in college. I say cheat, get your degree and make your money.

Much respect to you for having the stones to say that. Preach on brother.

Has anybody else realized that the Asian kids have the most intensive complex cheating system of anybody? We had a girl in our beverages class and after whiskey day we went to Peoples (we were in no shape for any more classes that day) and she explained it to us.

I won't say I never cheated. I did cheat once, on that stupid business analysis thing we had to do in Accounting 285. I honestly still think about it pretty often because it's just not in my nature to cheat on things and I still feel bad about it.

I agree with you about college though - in general unless you are in a very specialized field I think it is mostly a waste of time and money. I went to college and my brother did not but he is better than I am in everything I studied.

haha, perhaps. Or perhaps he determined that the possible rewards were worth the risk and he just had to manage the potential pitfalls.... of course he failed at that as well as the final. Perhaps we can chalk that up as poetic justice.

This is a high school story, but in physics class I noticed the guy next to me cheating off my test, so I wrote down the wrong answers, mixed in with a few right ones. As soon as he turned in his paper, I went back and corrected them.

I also know of people that do that. If they know somebody is copying them, they fill in the wrong bubbles on purpose and when the person leaves, they will go back and fill in the correct ones. :biglaugh:

Yeah, I don't know if I would do it on a bubble sheet because the erasure might not be clean enough and you could hurt yourself too.

I think I only did that the one time, but it was funny, because when we got our tests back, I said, "That's what you get for cheating" and he denied it, but his score was less than 50%.

I wonder if they're still using the same business law tests that everyone on campus had a copy of? :jimlad:
