Is it a violation for Coaches to be at a press conference....?
coaches can not be present when a recruit signs his LOI. Since the public is invited, we should treat it like a game and pack the place, inside, outside, Cyclone Alley, etc. Let's make it a memorable event for the whole state of Iowa.
Seriously? Not good television? Since when would fans booing a kid not be good television? It would only show that the fans are a bunch of bitter d-bags if that happens. Honestly, I hope Cyclone fans have more class than that because the chances Barnes picks ISU are slim to none.

The question of booing.....should he be booed? NO. However if he is going to pick another school, WHY open it to the public with possibilty of PASSONIATE isu fans booing him? He could have it in the Library with his principal, coach, teachers and family.
I think this is another good sign that ISU is going to get the #1 player in the country.

I hope it is only for those that wish to attend and not a required school assembly. I could see some high school punk kid trying to make tv and putting a "black cloud" over the announcement, by doing something stupid, if they are required to be there.

What ever he decides it will be good to move on. I do think this has the chance to move ISU in a direction that hasn't been seen before.
If we could somehow get Gilstrap another year that could put us in very, very good position

Chris or anyone else for that matter, can you find out if this press conference will be streamed online via any network? (ESPN360, KCCI, WOI, or WHO). This would be a big help.
I think that if he starts by saying, "I was born an Iowa State Cyclone and ..." that means he's coming here.
However, if he starts by saying, "I was born a Cyclone, but ..." he isn't.
In all honesty, I don't envy him and the burden of making this announcement one bit. He has the poise, confidence and support to do well in basketball and life, and I admire him and his mom, regardless of what he says.

I can see him saying "Im staying home and im going to be a Cyclone!" Then the crowd goes crazy and then the pep band starts playing and then they jam pack Hilton later that night with Harrison in attendance again.:yes:
Oh heck..why not just hoist him onto the crowd and carry him around campus!:biggrin:
