Barnes Decision at 3:10 on Friday

It will either be one of the great days in Cyclone basketball....or one of the great meltdowns in history...

I am excited for both

How obvious does it get? lol

That's what I'm wondering. If he picks another school, seriously there can't be a couple more than a couple people to celebrate with him.

I think it's more of a courtesy than a telling sign, honestly. Geared towards media as opposed to fans.

Folks, I wouldn't read too much into all of this. This just sounds like standard stuff for a press conference and announcement. If you disregard the level of awkwardness if he were to announce elsewhere, it is standard stuff.

With that said, I'm thinking he going to stay with the good guys only because I'm a kool aid kind of guy.

If he’s not coming to ISU he’s going about the announcement all wrong. That would be a huge slap in the face, HUGE!

Whoever is the Guy/Gal that dresses up as Cy could possible let us know if they will be busy a few hours Friday before the BBall game at Hilton. That might be an indication of who might be at a press conference.
Thanks:smile:

I'm really getting my hopes up now. I think he'll be a Clone. An HB commitment on Friday and a win over the Buffs on Saturday would catapult us into Clone heaven, and we deserve it.

coaches can not be present when a recruit signs his LOI. Since the public is invited, we should treat it like a game and pack the place, inside, outside, Cyclone Alley, etc. Let's make it a memorable event for the whole state of Iowa.

I don't think this is true, unless this is a D-I only thing. I had friends in high school that had their future college coaches there when they signed their loi's.
