Butchering/Locker Question

Was wondering how many days a beef should hang before it is cut up. I always thought it was around 14 days. Was looking around to see if any local lockers had any for sale. Had a couple say they weren't getting anything in for another month or so yet. One did call be back and someone backed out on one and that it had been hanging for almost two weeks. Dressed weight is 845 lbs. Kinda curious to hear from those that have beef processed at a local locker. TIA!!

Hy-Vee Dollar Fresh

https://www.kcrg.com/content/news/Hy-Vee-coming-to-several-eastern-Iowa-times-567330701.html

Not sure if there's a thread on it yet, but hy vee is buying up shuttered shopko stores in small towns and turning them into smaller scale versions of the real deal. Not really a big deal, but kind of a cool idea to get a footprint in smaller communities. Im not a huge fan of the name, though, "dollar fresh". Not sure what the process was in deciding on a name, but seems like it would implicate these communities are getting a watered down version. Just call them Hy-Vee imo. Curious to see what others thoughts are

Replay/Overturn @ 133

Just thought I'd start a separate thread about a real beef I've got with how replay is being executed this year.

In the Small match, initially, he was awarded 2 BP and wrestling was stopped with around :11 to go in the period. Todd had over a minute of riding time and a 7-4 lead. After the review, they took away the 2 BP (questionable, but whatever) but my bigger beef is that they reset the clock back to 1:07 in the period and took away all that riding time. Whether he got the 2 back or not had no bearing on the fact that he had control through that whole timeframe. If they restart at :11 seconds, Todd rides through the 2nd, with RT, it could have been a very different outcome.

Anyone else have a problem with this or care to explain why it was called this way? I can see certain instances where you would want to go back to the point in time (eg - TD being reversed), but this seemed to make no sense. I guess it's just a letter of the law type rule?

UFOs: Cmdr. David Fravor on Rogan

Just getting around to watching this. Maybe it’s the Evan Williams but this **** is crazy. I’ve never been a UFO guy but this seems more credible than the Bob Lazar sightings and actually confirms some of his stuff. The NYT article evidently came out a couple years ago but I’ve never seen it. Are there any logical explanations for Commander Fravor’s reports?

Celebrity Deaths

With the recent sudden death of Kobe Bryant, I was wondering how CF handles celebrity deaths. Every person deals with death differently, and some celebrities do things that resonate more personally with us. Circumstances of the deaths come into play, as well as age.

Personally, I rarely get too affected by a famous person's death. I don't have the same connection that others do. Maybe if I had some personal story with someone it would be different, but otherwise I'm mostly detached. As a dad, I tend to get more empathetic towards the kids left behind than anything.

How do others on here react? Has there been a certain death that hit home more than others? Was there a reason?

The first and most powerful celebrity death I really recall was watching Christa McAuliffe perish during the Challenger disaster on tv during grade school. Our teacher absolutely broke down and was inconsolable. I can still picture the whole event clearly.
