Student Section Complaint Thread

I'm here to complain once again about the movement of the student section. I think it is really impacting the atmosphere in Jack Trice. They are so disconnected from the band, and the band and student sections across the country go hand in hand. No more cowbell, no more Cyclone Power chants.

I'm just kind of ranting at this point, but not sure if anyone else has noticed these things?

Up until this weekend, I was kinda hoping we'd entertain selling beer at JTS at some point...but watching a number of people this weekend, most notably the ass-hat sitting next to my wife, I hope they never do. I drink more than the average fish...but holy ****, some people work HARD at getting effed up early in the morning...and find ways to ruin the day for many people around them. I can only imagine some of them being able to reload in stadium.

The two-time defending national champion Big 12 Conference will celebrate New Year’s Eve with the opening day of 2022-23 conference play. All teams will be in action with five games on Saturday, December 31.

Only 4 left this week with 2 no picks and 2 Tulane picks leaves us with 105 left. A few more have joined the 6 point tiebreaker club. @cowmaster1 breaks from the 6 point club to be the first to 7 tiebreaker points. 21 undefeated teams remaining, guaranteed to be down to 18 next week. Only 16 matchups to choose from.


Rules/How to Play if you are new:
  1. Pick a team you think will win that weeks game. Pick only 1 team per week.
  2. Don't pm me the pick, post on here your pick.
  3. You can only pick that team ONCE the entire time you are in the game.
  4. The goal is to advance and be the last person standing.
  5. Only games that have a FBS school facing another FBS school are eligible to be picked.
  6. You have up until the start time of the game you picked to switch.
  7. If your team loses, you are out for the competition.
  8. If you skip a week of picks, you are out.
  9. You can switch as many times up until the game you have picked officially starts.
  10. If you have questions, pm me
  11. Post 2 of the thread will have the possible games you can pick.
  12. Post 3 will have each player and their previous week's picks.
  13. You can only pick teams that are undefeated (they will be bolded).
  14. You can't join in during the middle of the season.
    Please include prior weeks picks with your pick for the week.
  15. If an undefeated favorite wins and covers the spread you gain a tiebreaker point. If an undefeated underdog wins you gain 2 tiebreaker points.
  16. There is no tiebreaker point due to a undefeated team winning on the road as that is a tiebreaker in the big 12 elimination game.

Campbell’s record in 1 score games vs FBS

By my count Campbell is 13-21 in 1 score games against FBS opponents in his ISU tenure. If you throw out the 1-3 his first year while building the program then it’s 12-18. Not terrible but could be better. Though we managed to finally get over the hump against Iowa this year I’m concerned that we’re finding ways to lose most of the close games, particularly since the start of last season. There are no bad teams in the Big 12 this year and everyone has a competent QB. We need to start winning some of these close games because every game left on our schedule could be a 1 score game. There are no gimmes like Rutgers, Northwestern or Nebraska to pad the record.

If one has a pass for the grass lots G2, G3, G4, G5, G8 & G9 and would be arriving around 9am Saturday, what is the best way to come in Duff to South 16th?

Is there no longer parking for cars in the grass Vet Med area? Used to park in there and pay cash.
