I don't think he was arguing before this tweet, but he has more after this one arguing with fans. Basically he thinks Klieman and Campbell are equal in coaching ability and Campbell is over hyped. Was he arguing with isu fans before this tweet or did he just tweet this for the interaction pts
If someone wants to say CMC is over hyped ok. But Klieman is mediocre. The only thing Kurtz is hanging his hat on when comparing the coaches is wins over OU and the fact Klieman overall has a better win % at K-State. Of course this overlooks the fact that Campbell's first year was a total rebuild, and if you throw out his first year Campbell has a better win percentage. Plus Campbell has done WAY better in conference than Klieman. It's not even close. It's laughable that Kurtz or others like our resident K-State troll Surly thinks they are equal in coaching ability.I doubt it will be a popular opinion on here, but Campbell probably was overhyped a bit last year after a great 2020 season, given how the team performed after opening the year at #7.
The fact that Kurtz wants to make a big deal of it immediately after a win against OU doesn't change the fact that Kleiman lost to Tulane a week ago and has not been very competitive head to head against ISU the last couple years.
