Interesting to see Pollard discussing the possibility of raising student fees to fund athletics, but very little details mentioned here. It feels like this is the direction it will go everywhere, but seems like its another hit to the fans, and ones that are already accumulating lots of debt just to attend.

The Cyclones return to the friendly confines of Hilton after a 1-1 road trip through Utah.

Looking at the Texas Tech roster, they have a few very tall hitters. The 6’5” Sophomore OH is leading the team in kills (Addie Kanouff).

Tis the season for horror/thriller movie.

We have seen this before, but we just watched Green Room again. I forgot how ******* terrifying that movie is. Because I can see **** like that happening. It’s far too believable all the way around. Not a typical Halloween type movie but horror all the same.

When I met with the surgeon afterward, he noticed I worked at Iowa State, and said he did his undergrad at Iowa State, then med school at University of Iowa, but only because he couldn't get admitted into Iowa State's College of Veterinary Medicine. I was glad he shared that with me after my surgery, rather than before.

What the title says, even with the injuries in the defensive backfield I still love where this team is at heading into October. As long as Rocco is behind center we have a chance to win any game.

Since the site update, I’ve seen several posts by people that are just blank space on my screen. They get reactions from other posters, so they can apparently see it … but I get nothing. If I reply to the blank post, then the code for it appears, which seems to be a link to Bluesky.

Is there something I need to change on my end, or is this a bug? I’m generally browsing the site on Safari on my iPad.

Cyclone Women Climb in Coaches Poll, Men Remain No. 1​

AMES, Iowa – Following an impressive showing at the Gans Creek Classic, the Iowa State women's cross country team climbed eight spots in the USTFCCCA coaches poll to No. 19. The men stayed in the top spot after a dominant team win in Columbia.

The Cyclone women finished seventh at Friday's meet with three top 20 individual finishers, including Mercyline Kirwa, Betty Kipkore and Maelle Porcher. All three runners finished the 6K race in under 20 minutes. Four of the Cyclones' top five finishers were freshmen and sophomores (Ruby Hughes, Sydney Morrell). Iowa State also moved up to No. 2 in the women's Midwest Region rankings, announced by the USTFCCCA on Monday afternoon.

The Iowa State men remained the nation's favorite after a decisive team victory at Gans Creek, posting 47 points to runner-up Virginia's 107. Joash Ruto led the Cyclone effort with a runner-up individual finish while the next four ISU runners (Sanele Masondo, Robin Kwemoi Bera, Rodgers Kiplimo, Meshack Kimutai) were also top 20 individually. All Cyclones finished in the top 75 and the average pace for the top five finishers was 22:51.0 for the 8K race, faster than all but eight individual finishers, per USTFCCCA.

Following a three-week training block, Iowa State travels to Madison for the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitation on October 17. The women's 6K is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the men's 8K to follow at 11:10 a.m.

Hey everyone,

This may be a long shot but I will be in New Orleans this weekend for a wedding. I was wondering if anybody knew of any ISU bars or game watches there? If not, any bars that you recommend to watch the game would be greatly appreciated!

I rarely use the desktop version of this site but logged in and everything's different. Has it been this way a while?
