Iowa State cornerback Darien Porter has been selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 68th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Porter spent five seasons on the field in Ames after transitioning from wide receiver, becoming a top cornerback and an elite special teams.

Over his time with Iowa State, Porter blocked five kicks, including a field goal in the team’s Farmageddon win over Kansas State at Jack Trice Stadium this fall.

Porter recorded 12 tackles, three interceptions – including one in Iowa State’s Cy-Hawk win over Iowa – and two blocked kicks in his senior year in Ames.

He played a major role in helping Iowa State to its first season with a double-digit win mark, a Big 12 championship game berth and a Pop Tarts Bowl win.
