RECRUITING: Cyclones land 2025 RB Ryver Peppers out of Kansas City

Iowa State has its running back for the 2025 class in Ryver Peppers, a 5-foot-11 prospect out of Kansas City.

The Fort Osage high schooler announced the news over social media Sunday after being in Ames for the program’s first of two official visit weekends.

Iowa State became the second program to offer Peppers in February, joining South Dakota State which had offered the month before.

Since then, Peppers picked up 13 offers before ultimately committing to Iowa State over the weekend, despite having visits planned for both Kansas State and Harvard this month.

Peppers chose the Cyclones over Utah, Kansas State, Northwestern, UNLV, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Army, Navy, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, UNI, Harvard, Princeton and Cornell.

Peppers is Iowa State’s 10th commitment to the 2025 recruiting class, which has jumped over 10 spots to No. 38 in the nation by 247 Sports’ composite class rankings.
