Iowa State schedules in-home visit with SDSU forward William Kyle III, per report

Iowa State is set to have an in-home visit with former South Dakota State forward William Kyle III as it continues to piece together its roster for the 2024-25 season, according to a report from Jon Rothstein.

The 6-foot-9, 230-pound would immediately help fill the void being created with each of the four bigs departing the roster: Hason Ward (graduation), Robert Jones (graduation), Tre King (graduation) and Omaha Biliew (transfer portal).

Iowa State already began to fill that void when it added Charlotte transfer Dishon Jackson last week.

Kyle III ended the season averaging 13.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, collecting 14 points and seven boards in his team’s game against Iowa State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

He was a 62.3 percent shooter from the field in this year and shot 58 percent from the free throw line.

The Bellevue, Nebraska native is on a visit at Nebraska on Monday and will meet with Iowa State later in the week.

He has two years of eligibility remaining in his college career.
