A day forecasted for rain, hail and potential tornadoes turned into one of the most beautiful September afternoons at Jack Trice Stadium.
Over 59,000 fans filled the stands and the Cyclones clinched a 34-27 victory against the Cowboys in their controversial all-black uniforms.
While not every moment was flawless, the overall atmosphere was electric. The Iowa State bench maintained high spirits. I captured smiles both on the field and in the stands. I hope you enjoy reliving this special day in Ames, which provided a much-needed boost as the Cyclones prepare to hit the road.”
