RECRUITING: Cyclones land CO defensive back Myles Purchase

Iowa State picked up a win on the football field on Saturday and then picked up a win on the recruiting trail.

The Cyclones landed the commitment of Colorado defensive back Myles Purchase when he announced his college decision on a YouTube stream Saturday evening. The Englewood, Colo. native joins safety Beau Freyler as Colorado prospects in the Cyclones’ 2020 recruiting class.

Purchase, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound three-star recruit, is considered the No. 18 player in Colorado and the No. 142 cornerback prospect in the country by 247. He chose Iowa State over Kansas, Colorado State, Kansas State, Army and others.

Iowa State now has 19 commits in its 2020 class, which ranked as the No. 58 group of commitments in the country prior to Purchase’s commitment.
