NORMAN, Okla. — ‘We just believed.”

That’s how former Iowa State receiver Marchie Murdock Jr. remembers the Cyclones’ 38-31 upset win two years ago at Oklahoma.

Murdock — who played one season for Matt Campbell at ISU after graduating and transferring from Illinois — caught two passes for 40 yards and a key touchdown as his team shocked the Sooners that day.

He returned to the scene Saturday and spent hours tailgating with a throng of other Cyclone fans. Murdock — who is training for a possible shot at a XFL roster spot — shared his memories of that mammoth win and what it’s like cheering instead of playing for ISU in this CFTV video.
