WRESTLING: Two-time Massachusetts state champ picks Iowa State

AMES — Iowa State has received a commitment from Ramazan Attasauov, a prospect who is currently competing in open college tournaments for prep school Wyoming Seminary.

A Nalchik, Kabardino-Bakaria native, Attasauov and has been in the United States since 2016. He spent his first two prep years at Wayland High School in Wayland, Mass., where he finished with a career record of 105-5.

Attasauov brings an impressive resume to the 2019 recruiting class: two-time Division 3 Massachusetts State champion, where he won every single one of his matches with a pin, and two-time All-State Massachusetts State champion.

Attasauov joins an already impressive 2019 class: No. 1 Ryan Anderson, No. 5 Aden Reeves and No. 15 Julien Broderson. He is projected at 125/133-pounds.
