WRESTLING: Three Cyclones remain in InterMat weekly rankings

Ames — Intermat has released its weekly rankings and one Cyclone is climbing after making his Iowa State debut last weekend.

Redshirt freshman Austin Gomez moved up one spot to No. 14 at 133-pounds after recording a technical fall in his first collegiate match during the Cyclones’ dual win over SIU-Edwardsville. Gomez had four takedowns within the first period and garnered over 10 back points.

Redshirt sophomore Jarrett Degen stayed steady at No. 14 in the 149-pound rankings while redshirt senior Willie Miklus held at No. 5 for the second week in a row at 197-pounds.

Jacqueline graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.
