RECRUITING: Iowa State makes Jirehl Brock’s top seven

Iowa State has made the cut for top running back target Jirehl Brock‘s top-seven. The Quincy, Illi. native announced the cuts to his list on his Twitter account Friday morning.

Iowa State remains in contention for Brock’s services at the next level along with Iowa, Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Purdue. Brock, a 6-foot, 180-pound four-star prospect, is considered the No. 154 player in the country by 247Composite.

He’s the No. 10 running back in the 2019 class and No. 3 player in the state of Illinois. Brock has visited Ames a pair of times since picking up an offer from the Cyclones last April, including for Iowa State’s junior day on Feb. 24.

Iowa State’s 2019 recruiting class is currently rated as the No. 16 class in the country and No. 2 class in the Big 12.
