AMES — Good news: Paul Rhoads expects Demond Tucker to play when Iowa State travels to Toledo for Saturday night’s 7 o’clock kick.
Iowa State’s best defensive lineman left Saturday’s 31-17 loss to Iowa with an ankle injury in the second quarter. He was taken to the locker room on a cart and seen on crutches and in a boot in the second half.
"Demond, we full believe will play," Rhoads said. "He’s made great progress in the first 48 hours."
Rhoads added that senior cornerback Sam B. Richardson will not be able to play due to injury, along with defensive end Gabe Luna. Both men missed the Iowa game as well.
