Rules
Here are some rules to follow for posting/commenting on the CycloneFanatic.com message boards and/or comment sections. Posts/comments found to be outside of the boundaries set forth in this post may be deleted, and users that continually disregard the posting rules WILL be banned.
Feel free to criticize but please, be respectful by doing so. Posts that aren’t, can and will be deleted. Debate can be enjoyable, so please construct your posts/comments in a manner that fosters debate and discussion, as opposed to posts that instigate flame wars
Posting distasteful comments, pictures, etc about Iowa State athletes, coaches or opponents will not be tolerated. This includes name calling.
Repetitive negative posts may be removed by site administrators. Again, see rule #1, but understand that people can see your post/comments, and you don’t need to keep starting new ones, or making new posts, that say the same thing over and over.
Criticism of site staff is fine if you have issues with our opinions on matters related to Iowa State athletics. Criticism of site staff with regards to how we run the site is also fine but we ask you to do this privately. E-mail any and all concerns to [email protected] or you can send Chris a private message through this site. Thousands of great Cyclone fans visit this site daily so they can read about and discuss things related to Iowa State athletics, not to read about someone being irritated with how this site is moderated. Posts that criticize how we run things will be removed, and will not be responded to. Concerns that are sent to us via email or private message will be read and responded to.
We appreciate folks that make this site a part of their daily Cyclone experience, but it is a private business entity and every decision we make will not please 100% of the visitors to this site. But we moderate the forums as we see fit, to foster a level of harmony and respect. Just as there are rules that require you to wear a shirt and shoes in most private businesses, there are rules that go along with posting on this website.
Posts that devolve into flame wars and name calling between fellow posters may be locked and or deleted. This is a forum about Cyclone athletics, not about your disagreements with fellow posters.
No repetitive negative posting: Get your point out, that’s fine. But going over the same old ground post after post in a short amount of time will be viewed as spamming , and the posts may be removed and the poster may be banned.
If you feel that you cannot conduct yourself on this within these simple and fair guidelines set forth, we certainly appreciate your wanting to be a part in our community but we respectfully ask that you find another website to call home.
