Same injury as Solo, I think? If so, I remember hearing that Solo could have returned had Iowa State played a week or so beyond the Big 12 Tournament, and he went down mid-late Feb. Shouldn't be too concerning, although was looking forward to watching him in Cap City

Not exactly sure.
“They” don’t really “make it right”, as you say. The actually cut off the torn part and then grind down any residual
leftover flaring.

Depends on the situation. A slight horizontal tear in the right spot and it will mend on its own. Few times some doctors will try to stitch it. My son had the ISU joint specialist repair his knee. The shaved his while doing the other stuff.

Meniscus tear is like a sprained ankle these days. They can make it right pretty easily.
uhhh, yeah I got my meniscus surgery and still am feeling the effects 2 months later so its a bit different than a sprained ankle haha. But for someone in a system that has trainers and work out specialist specifically there for that, he will be back in no time.

Also, I'm assuming age is a factor here? :p

I guess you could be an 18 year old male, but I'd wager probably not.

I love how we pose these questions like we have a bunch of orthopedic surgeons on this board...

If he has it done by the guy who did mine two years ago (Sneller), I recovered from that pretty quickly. And I think I can guarantee that he's in a helluva lot better shape than I am. And Sneller's a pretty great guy - for a Hawkeye...
My surgery was on the morning after the 2015 CyHawk basketball game. He was wearing a Hawkeye scrub cap, and the nurses & anesthesiologist were all wearing Cyclone gear. They assured me they had my back because we had him outnumbered. ;)

It seems like we have credible, actual testamonials from folks with similar injuries.

Wishing Zion a speedy recovery and hope he's at full speed when pre-season begins.

I don't think it's a ridiculous question to ask. Some people have more information then I do and might know examples of other players with a similar injury and how it effected their play long term.

I wear plain clothing to the doctor/dentist for this exact reason lol not worth the risk :)
