Those are some decent thoughts, but I'm so tired of the media acting like they know what's going on. It's becoming fashionable for the media to take shots at the Big 12 at every opportunity, regardless of their ignorance to the situation. East Coast media, media in high population centers in the Big Ten and ESPN's love affair with the SEC have successfully painted an unfair perception of the Big 12 as a conference that isn't financially successful and lacks the competition of other P5 conferences. Meanwhile, our revenue as a conference is significantly higher than ever before, and the media ignores that the Big Ten has been the worst P5 conference this century.
I wish these small-time journalists would just accept that their sources are pawns, or worse, flat-out making **** up. But that wouldn't feed their ego.
