These rankings are based on some mathematical equation which never ranks the kids appropriately.

I had heard some taking about 157. Neither Carr, Deakin or O’Connor will face each other this year (until Nationals). The early thought was that if all were to go unbeaten (not gonna happen now with O’Connor losing to Robb), Carr would likely have the lowest RPI of the 3. Right, wrong or indifferent, that’s what I had heard anyway.

These are bad but I guess they're consistent. The majority of the weights that return a champ have that wrestler behind returning non champ. O'Connor gets the nod over Carr, but Lewis is behind Kemmerer, a non champ, in the same situation at 174 plus the returning champ at that weight is all the way down at 4th. I assume their rankings are carrying numbers forward from last year? Lies, damn lies, and statistics. It'll sort itself out in many cases.

Nationals are going to he nuts with the amount of super seniors and number of weights that have multiple champs and runner ups returning.

To his defense, Robb is probably one of the strongest guys at the weight. Coming down from 165.

But what I saw tonight is absolutely no competition for Carr.
My wife turned to me and even said Robb (her words guy in red) looks a lot stronger than O'Connor. I thought he looked "timid" in the 1st and 2nd. Finally started opening up later on. He will be fine as the year rolls on in my opinion.

As time goes on these rankings improve with data, but if nothing else it is fun to see and a good way to compare wrestlers opponents and wins/losses. I appreciate your efforts Andegre.

Robb's salty, never an easy out.
