Just to make sure my facts are right.

We beat them head to head.
We beat them at the Big XII meet
We finished ahead of them at nationals

Correct?

If so, this is a perfectly logical decision guys... :baffled5wh:

I don't know wrestling but if the guy took a horrible program and turned it into something. That is a little harder than taking a National Power (Iowa State) and making us second in the country. I would vote for Cael. It does sound like that coach did a great job though. Either way. Cael don't care so I don't.

Well, that's an objective and non-partisan way of looking at it.....

Alright that's way too much objectiveness for this message board. Let's all run over to knownothing's house with pitchforks and torches.

Knownothing has it right. Yes, ISU outperformed MU this year, but what if GC took the Cyclones to the Big 12 Championship game this year and lost to Texas (or Oklahoma or whomever). Wouldn't we all be screaming that he should be coach of the year? Cael is a great coach. We will see multiple national championships during his tenure. Just give the guy some credit, MU was nothing until he showed up.

W.I.N. magazine usually has different rankings than the USA Today/ NWCA poll and the AWN poll.

W.I.N. is always just a little different, from what I've noticed the past few years. So what does a "different" magazine do? They pick a different coach.

Thank God - glad you came to your senses. Let's not let that happen again, Knownothing.

Another way to look at this. Let someone else have an award. It's like giving superman an award everytime he rescues someone. Sure he deserved an award but let Jimmy Olson get an award for a picture he took. The little guy at missouri can hold Cael jock strap if he wants.

I am interviewing Mike Finn of W.I.N. Magazine today on my show, and will ask him about that. We'll also talk recruiting and the upcoming World Trials, and the biggest challenges facing both Iowa State and Iowa next year.
