I’m sorry but these have become 40% ads. Rarely bother to listen anymore.
Ads pay for the content. We want CF to do well, correct?

No one really likes ads, but you can fast forward thru these if you want. They haven't taken that option away. Problem solved.

TV commercials, same thing, you can mute 'em (sometimes fast forward thru). It's the world we live in.

A wasted hour. All jibber jabber and very little Cyclone info.

Got damn some of you are miserable.
We are all antsy for games to start. Some just feel the need to misdirect their frustration.

I give props to CW and CF as a whole. It has been a long rather uneventful summer news wise (no gambling fiasco to cover, not a lot going on with realignment etc.) but they have managed to still crank out their normal schedule of podcasts every week. I have thought more than one occasion how difficult it must be to come up with interesting content to talk about for an hour twice a week, and I don't envy them. Can't wait for the season to kick off!

I've really enjoyed your podcasts, Brent. They are great to listen to when I'm in the car or getting some steps in. Appreciate getting your perspective on all things Cyclones!
You are very kind! But seriously we appreciate all feedback and if we’re missing a topic that could be interesting for listeners, that’s our job to cover. We don’t want to rehash the same topics over and over just to fill time.

CW and Brent, I love your podcasts and you guys have been getting me through some tough morning distance runs lately. Thanks for all you do. My students over here on the south side of Chicago all know about the Cyclones in large part because you guys keep me connected.

While I personally do not feel you guys are short on content, it might be cool if you did an episode where you gave us small updates or season previews for the less reported on sports? How will Volleyball be, what can we expect from X or Y Olympic sport, etc. I don't really know anything about those programs but I do enjoy hearing about them when I do!

What topics would you like covered that we haven’t discussed recently? That would be helpful to know.
Honestly I can’t think of topics you guys have discussed. Feels like you have covered everything in the last year. Honestly I would love deeper dives into topics you guys have covered in the past. Absolutely loved the interview with Anthony B. I would like a deeper dive interview with him. Also would like a deeper dive into the nutrition program. Noel looks jacked going into this season.

I'm sure it gets challenging to constantly think of new topics for the many hours of content you guys need to come up with.

I'm sure you're planning to do this anyway, but with kickoff only 17 days away, I'd love to hear you guys go in depth on North Dakota. Maybe bring on North Dakota's play by play guy?

The topics I don't enjoy as much all seem to be Chris's favorite pass times: car racing, pro wrestling, country music, and drinking. :)

Hey @brentblum?

While you two are spitballing…

@ChrisMWilliams was right that people aren’t eager to see the established players.

Back in the day, there used to be JV games.

Imagine solely a freshman game (including redshirts), for the kids people haven’t really seen before.

Look at it this way. You can trot out JJ Kohl and Connor Moberly at QB. At WR (maybe) Ngoyi, Parkes, Black, Overby and Brett Eskldsen. Then RB’s Dylan Lee and Aiden Flora.

There are OL and DL aplenty, linebackers, and —especially—DB’s to go around.

In ‘25, more fresh faces.

And, if the roster expands, that’s even more freshmen faces looking for a chance to make lay a little football.

You take it from there. And yes, if it’s “not possible”, the NCAA can change the rules. Everything else changes, after all.

I want to preface this by saying I highly enjoy the CF podcast network and the work that the staff puts into them. But I think there is a missed opportunity especially during the summer months where someone could be making a more highly produced podcast that is more scripted and focused around important athletic moments and/or icons kind of what Jared created with Transfer U.

Granted, I understand the time and resource commitment this would probably take on small staff. I also understand if it was deemed that the time commitment wouldn’t be worth it in terms of downloads, but I think those podcasts would be very popular.

Not very eloquently put, but there is something here. The ad reads have gotten very, very long. When CW starts a read on a sponser he really likes and knows personally, it can go on for several minutes. It's not the number of ads, but the length of time for each one.

Edit: I want to add that It's not that big of a deal, and I know ads pay the rent. I think it's extra noticeable during the summer when there's not much going on.

The original Summer Series were exactly this, and were highly enjoyable.

The last 4-5 minutes you mentioned Campbell was wearing the 'Clonado'? Is that what you said? I've not heard of that term yet. Tell me you are not referring to the upside down turd emoji / turnado / bugle? Those are the terms we hear, and we know what that's being referred to.

Tell me he was NOT wearing that. Tell me they are not going to try to bring that back this year, or any other year. Please. Why do we still have it? The fans overwhelmingly hate this logo. No fixing it, either, by putting it on anything but the cardinal helmet. It is still not good.

A modernized '80s Cyclone (Orrnado, if you will) would be far better, and is what most fans want, if put to a vote. I'm speaking of the first of several secondary logos that we should consider adopting. We should not be considering the 'bugle'.

The bugle should be considered gone.

This is the “cloneado”.

Take this as a compliment. Seriously. It’s not a dig.

I truly wish I was “offline” as much as it seems you are. I’m jealous.

If you didn’t see this, it was all over the socials yesterday. National people were tweeting about it repeatedly.
