Does anyone know if Milan Moses & Jason Scales are expected to contribute to the team this year? I know Milan has battled Krohn's disease & Jason's knee injury was alot worse then initially expected, but will they be able to provide some depth this year?

well, from what i heard earlier this spring, it did not look good for scales. now im hearing he could be alright. so i dont know for sure. i really hope so. both players will give us added depth at both positions if not special teams atleast.

Gary Swenson (Jason's High School coach at Valley) was interviewed the other day and he said Jason is fine now and able to do all the workouts and conditioning that everyone else did. He sounded like his is good to go

I hope Scales is healthy. I would love to see what he can do.
It is great news unless you are a Hawkeye fan from Mason City!

During the big 12 media day last week, Mac said that Scales was 100% and good to go. I hope he's right there at 2 or 3 on the depth chart and can really give us some good carries this year.

I'm still not sold on Stevie being 100% healthy this year, after hearing rumors of him possibly having a sports hernia that he decided not to have operated on to watching him pull up a little gimpie early in the 3rd quarter of the Spring game after scoring a TD. He did not come back into the game after that point by the way. So to hear Jason Scales is 100% is very, very good news to me, because he may be playing a lot more then we expect.

Scales is suppose to be looking really good. He is making LB's miss! Also, Hicks has lost a few pounds which I think will make him faster and more effective. They should be a nice one two punch. Lastly, still look for Harris to get some carries, as he has game breaking speed!

Hicks, Harris, and Scales

I think RB is going to be by committee this year. Hicks will be the starter and main run blocking back but Harris and Scales will get a lot of carries. I don't care as long as there is a consistent running game that sets up the passing game.
