To be fair going to Houston to play A&M might as well be the same thing in terms of a road game. At least this one is much more winnable and easier to drive.

Couldn't you make the same argument for the B12? Even with only 3 non-con games, a lot are against garbage teams. Only need to win 3 league games to get bowl eligible.

Sure but we somehow got the same number of teams in and our teams need the additional win. There are only 12 games in college football, so 2 to 3 is an entire game and is a bigger deal than you think.

But 1/2 the league would have one more guaranteed loss. So it brings more guaranteed losses into the equation and lowers the perception of fabricated Greatness.
