Who serves the best Bloody Mary in the Des Moines area?

I've had them at Wellmans, Okaboji B & G, Old Chicago, Tonic and the Clipper in Ankeny. Out of all those places I have to say the Clipper had the best.
Anyone have one some place that it was real good? I'm still searching for the grail of Bloody Marys in Des Moines area.

Not Des Moines, but in Brooklyn we used to go to a place called Commonwealth. The bartender/owner shredded fresh horseradish in the bloody mary... hands down best I've ever had.

What a subjective drink to rate. I would compare Bloodies to chili, everyone has their own personal style. Some like it very spicy, some like it thicker, some like it thinner. Just depends on your own liking.

If you get north of Des Moines, the Twin Anchors golf course (by Colo on Hwy 30) has awesome ones as well. No grilled food in them but a great homemade mix recipe.
