I work in a lab at the University. What do you think? I'm the only one. I've worn a different Iowa State shirt every day this week. And last night I changed all the backgrounds on the 'public' computers to a different Iowa State wallpaper. They didn't last long this morning.

On another note. Is there anyone going to be tailgating in Iowa City that wouldn't mind hosting a couple of Cyclones. I've got a friend from college coming into town, but I know zero Cyclone fans in the area. Thanks.

Boy, I know this feeling. Growing up...and still...in northern iowa, with Ames about an hour from where I grew up, and Iowa City about 2.5-3 hours from where I grew up, Hawks have it about 65-35, which is really astonishing. It also shows at the sporting goods stores and clothing stores when you CAN'T FIND ANY CYCLONE GEAR!:arghh: But there is Ames, which I absolutely love, and they have everything I could ever love. Cyclone gear, cyclone women (the best ), and Cyclone Athletics (also very good )!

All I know is I'm glad I'm not in Cedar Rapids anymore... I could NOT stand going back there over breaks... I about drowned in the Hawk propoganda. My dad would always tell me "What are you talking about? Rockwell hires all kinds of ISU engineers"

This is true... but the Rockwell Engineers don't run the Gazette or news channels :arghh:

My plant manager is a Squawkeye and wears an Iowa polo 3 days a week. I just turned around to show him that I was wearing a "Beat Iowa" t-shirt. Luckily he is cool about it, even hooking me up with decent seats for the game. Nothing like four Cyclones in a see of Iowa Dentists!

Also, for living on the fringe of Chicago suburbia it isn't bad to have 70/30 Cyclone representation.

I'm surrounded by Cyclones...

:mask:

Gee we all feel awful for you.

Here's to hoping you've decided to be that guy today and sport your Tigger Hawk shirt proudly

Oh, and on topic for this thread:

Dance Marathon decided to hold a fund raiser today titled 'Help us shut off the Iowa fight song'

They're playing that friggin thing on the lawn south of the Campanile.

Some guy asked me to donate and I just laughed at him (I 'spose I'm going down for that one huh)

How in the hell do you think it's a good idea to do this fundraiser now?

Yup, but at least cyclonefanatic helps us stay connected! :)

It doesn't matter where I go in the cities, but someone always has a d*mn hawkeye hat, shirt, decal or something. I was at a MN Wild playoff game last spring where probably 99.9% of the fans wore Wild gear, but who happens to sit a couple rows in front of me - a couple squawk fans in all black hawkeye gear!! COME ON!!
Stay away from Pauly's then if you want to avoid Hawk fan. I always see one or two in there. (Plus one more when I bring my wife.)
