I say "Jose you pitching tonight (knowing he was)" and he says yes to which I responded "good luck" and he gave me a genuine "thanks man." So then I have to go to the front desk and on the way down Farmer gets on the elevator with his golf clubs. In the lobby Buerle was talking to someone and signing some documents - like a marketing deal or something. As I'm waiting at the front desk Raines is ahead of me in line. Anderson and Jenks walk by announcing they are going to Panera Bread to eat. So now I'm going back up and Politte gets off the elevator. I get off on my floor and almost collide with Jeff Nelson as he's getting on. Walking down the hall and AJ is giving his bags to the bellman. That's about it. It was pretty neat. Other than saying something to Jose and talking to DJ I refrained from doing the "fan" act on the players. I'm guessing I'll be seeing the Angels players soon. [/b][/quote]

That's pretty cool..maybe one day i'll get a chance to meet some players. What company do you work for? I wanna stay at the Ritz.

Yea, last night was a little rough. I thought we'd go ahead an win after Dye's homer. McCarthy looked like he was throwing BP out there. The bull pen has me concerned. But, I look at it this way.....I used to hinge my emotions on each game. Elated with a win, somewhat upset when we lose. (I know, get a life, right?) But this year I'm keeping an even keel and not getting upset when we have games like last night. I tell myself that it's going to be tough to repeat. There's been a new WS winner each of the last 6 years and no-one has repeated since I believe Toronto in the early 90s. After games like last night I say to myself with my best Chris Farley imitation, " 'member that one time when the White Sox won the World Series? Yea, that was pretty awesome."

I have to say, the Sox are definitely not clicking on all cylinders as of yet, but they still have a very good record to show for it. Lately, the bullpen, and now the starting pitching have been spotty. If the bullpen continues to struggle, Kenny will make some moves, you can bet on that.

The hitting's been great so far. Last year at this time the Sox couldn't score any runs and were winning every game by one run it seemed. We'll see if the Tigers are in it for the long haul. I'm not sold on them yet. Cleveland is still very much in it, and if their starting pitching picks up, they'll be very tough. Big homestand coming up: 3 against Texas, Detroit, and then Cleveland again. Go Sox!

It's great to see guys like Cintron, Ozuna, and Mackowiack hit huge late inning dingers to win ballgames like they have this year. It just shows that we have a strong bench and that Kenny Williams is a freakin' genious.



It's time to send Anderson down. He is just clueless up there. It might also be time to start Cintron in front of Juan "Never saw a pitch I didn't swing at" Uribe.

Yeah I've always liked Cintron cuz I had him on my MLB 2005 team (baseball video game). Kenny Williams is a freaking genius. I like how he listens to Ozzie and fills in all the holes on the team.

What worries me is Thome. Interleague games are coming up and I don't think Ozzie will play him at first although he said he wants to. He tweaked his groin (or hammy) so I wouldn't risk him at first anyways. Hopefully he stays healthy enough.

I don't think we should give up on Juan. Once he gets hot..watch out. Maybe he needs someone like cintron to make sure he doesn't slack off and have better ABs. Time will tell.

And yes please send Anderson down...he's only getting worse and losing his confidence. He needs to go down to AAA to build his confidence back up and hopefully be back later in the season. We need his defense when playoffs come around.

Bring up Josh Fields..we could play crede at short..i remember him playing there a couple times. I just want to see him in action.

I do agree with all of you about anderson - but as evidenced last night, his fielding would be greatly missed. Mac misplayed two balls in center last night, taking his time throwing to second after catching a fly ball, and allowing a runner to tag at first and make 2nd. He also tried throwing a ball home to catch a runner that was over halfway home from thrid, allowing the batter to make a double. We just need smarter baseball from him if he's gonna eventually get the starting job.

I think we are too used to the White Soxs not making any mental errors because of the unbelievable way they excuted last year. This year is what I expected from them so far.

Pitching has been decent. I'm disappointed in Garcia and Garland so far this year. Garcia's record doesn't indicate how poorly he's done in the couple games I saw him pitch. Maybe the WBC has something to do with it but I had a feeling from the end of last year that he wasn't going to have as strong as a season we are used to from him.

The bullpen is the big ? of this season to my surprise. Pollite needs to re-focus or something cuz I see more of Nelson and less of Cliffy. Thornton is for real. Wow. We got a righty and lefty that can hit 100 is pretty damn amazing. It's time to use only McCarthy, Cotts, Thornton, and Jenks..maybe sprinkle a little of Nelson in there.

Detroit is not for real. Maybe a couple years and then they could be the contending for the Central but I think we have a dynasty building in the south side of Chi-town. [/b][/quote]





I your assessment. I think it is hard for Ozzy to keep their attention so far this year. After getting those rings he is having trouble getting the execution. But lets be real. Last year was magical. Almost everything went right for the Sox. No way we get as good of starting pitching as last year. It was probably the best I can remember from any team. Garcia will come around. Garland I'm not so sure. He just gives up a lot of runs.



Buerle is good, but our Ace is Contrearas. He is filthy. When he is on, we win. Simple as that. In the playoffs, he is as good as 2 wins in every series. I think Detroit will fade. No way their pitching will hold up. They already have injuries, and their bullpen is very suspect as we saw last week. GO SOX.

Yeah l liked what I saw today from Anderson. He even walked from a 0-2 count which I sat in amazement..I'm also glad he put that sacrifice bunt down which resulted in a run. I'm thinking he'll hit .240-.250 by the end of the season.

Also I was impressed by Uribe's at-bats today too. He didn't go into the batters back hacking at anything throw. Maybe the baby he had thought him some patience or something haha..

Things are looking good although the freaking Devil Ray's bullpen blows..

Anderson walking shouldn't surprise anyone. I think he's shown he can draw a walk now and then.
