I will be in Ames for the Baylor vs. ISU football game in October. Where is the best place to eat in town?

Mcdonalds.

Trust me Baylor has all the best resturants. The best football and best basketball teams.

So you might as well not waste your time with our horrible food places and just go to Micky D's.

I plan to eat at many ISU tailgates with my Baylor gear. I'll just do it BEFORE the game. Need a good place to go AFTER the game.

Depends on what you're looking for of course. In my book, the one place that you can't get anything comparable anywhere else, is Great Plains Pizza.

[We're a-holes at the same time. Awesome. Angie, I almost went with Applebees./QUOTE]

It's amazing that we can be a-holes like that at the same time.

This Baylor fan has been an a-hole since this site started.

No I never start out being an a-hole. I was nice but immediately your fans attacked me about David Koresh, Dave Bliss, etc.

I would suggest packing food before you leave. There's no way Ames' Robert Griffin...er food I mean food...could match the awesomeness of Waco's

Actually, I urge you to not waste your time and just stay in Texas

Ah yeah, that place rings a bell. The last time I was in Ames in 2005 someone else told me about that place. We went to it but the line was too long. Wish we'd tried it out though.

The line never seems to be over a 30 minute wait. Price is cheap, great food, you will never go wrong. We had it at our wedding and before every basketball game my wife and I went to. Highly recommend it after you get beat down....It will be good comfort food.:biglaugh:
