It would be great to settle this on the court....

GM4ISU.... you could coach, get your five best know it all posters from cyclonefanatic, and lets set up a game against ISU Men's basketball team coached by Greg McDermott.......

I know who I would bet on......

And if that does not work just get your "Fab Five" in the Big 12 and we will watch the results....

Give Coach Mac the time he needs and he will build a program that ISU fans, Students, Alumni can and will be proud of....

Our loss to Minny on Tuesday was the first time I have questioned G Mac's coaching. I still think he's the right guy for the job. I live in the Twin Cities and heard a Star Tribune reporter discuss the game Wednesday morning on the local sports talk radio. The reporter made the comment that Tubby Smith outcoached G Mac. At first I got mad, because I tend to defend the good guys no matter what. But, after thinking about it for awhile, I have to agree with the reporter. The Gopher defense was very aggressive and seemed to play with more energy and intensity than our guys. This probably isn't only coaching, but I do think it's part of it. (Rebounding was awful too...Minny got way too many Offensive rebouds!)

Again, I really like what's going on with our program, but Tuesday's game was a little disappointing; not as much because we lost, but because we were out-hustled.

Can I play the part of the ignorant guy who doesn't know or care about the past coaching and just is there to enjoy the games and support the team?

WOOOOOO (mindless cheering)

Re: Worst Player to see significant time since Rampton

Jeez guys, you all sound like Hawk fans, calling out players. Give it some time...

Unfortunatley there's a thin line between the behavior of Hawk fans and Clone fans. (except we would never boo a player as he is being introduced on senior day). I've noticed this on CN and now here on CF. The one fortunate thing is there's more jihadic Hawks.

This thread sucks, it's too bad we have to be this irrational this early in the season.

If we aren't dancing in two years, then this thread will have merit, but for now it's senseless.

"Where is Larry"

I bet that is the exact question players and his wife were asking after the MIzzou game. And almost six years later, the question comes back up. However this time we know answer. Larry is where Larry belongs............not here.

I agree wholeheartedly, I wish LE was back so that I could have a shot with Stacey Eustachy. I have a little bit of a Shane Power look.

I think a lot of this has to do with the fact that we haven't developed any team chemistry yet. 11 players made the court for the Minnesota game, 8 of which are new to the team, and 7 of those have never played D-1 ball before. To make matters worse, I imagine Wesley and Lucca were getting a lot of minutes with the 1st team in practice. Nobody knows their roles quite yet and are being asked to do too much for the time being. When Wesley and hopefully Lucca come back everybody will feel more comfortable, including some who need to be on the bench and not playing.

People were jumping on Chizik after the Texas Tech and Texas games and now everybody has a warm and fuzzy over him. I imagine the same will happen with GMac by the end of the year. Cheer up people. 2 more years of Johnson and Brackins together, not to mention Lucca and others coming in, are going to win some ball games.
