What are some of our ISU wrestling alumni up to today?

Doesn't have to be our best wrestlers or even starters. Just curious how life is going for former cyclone wrestlers. Always interesting to see the different paths people take in life.

From the 05 class:

Varner, Fanthorpe, and Cyler are all out at Penn St. with Cael.

Nick Gallick and Mitch Mueller are here in the Des Moines area working these days.

Zabriskie is training out of Lehigh last I saw

I know that Kurt Backes is also in Des Moines as well working for Wells Fargo.

A few other recent guys I know:

Boaz beard- is in Physical Therapy school at Missouri state in Springfield

Ben cash- lives and works around Des Moines area

Chris Spangler- works and lives in greater Chicago area

Luke Goettl- got married last summer and I believe moved back to Arizona to work on his fathers heating and cooling business.

John Thorn is west side of Minneapolis and works in real estate and has some boys that know how to wrestle.

Kyle Simonson is back in Algona and think he works for his dad at Crop Production Services.

Dave Martin is Senior Associate AD at Oklahoma State

Bill Fjetland is a retired teacher/principal/coach (volleyball & wrestling) in Algona

Andrew Sorenson is training in Cedar Falls. Saw him in Ames last weekend.

Max Mayfield is back in davenport helping to run his parents organic grocery store.

Dalton Jensen is coaching at UNK.

Mark Knauer is a professor in animal science at NC State.
