When Meyer is gone and we are left w/ two stellar QB's (Arnaud and Bates), who will be the starter?

Bates. There really should be no question. Arnaud has a stronger arm and is a local boy, but Bates was a highly touted recruit and even though that doesn't always mean that he will be good, thats what we have to work with for now.

I agree. While I'll be pulling for Arnaud, clearly I want the better of the two - whoever that may be.

I hope we see both on the field though.

I wouldn't count Arnaud out. I really think he will develop into something great...as will Bates hopefully. Competition is a good thing.

If neither are redshirted, Arnaud will be a Junior, and Bates will be a Sophomore, correct?

i would not be surprised at all to see bates redshirted if arnaud turns out as good as hes expected. I also wouldnt be surprised to see them split PT throughout there entire careers together. It'd only make them better

Or one of them could transfer

Depending on how quickly Arnaud develops, Bates may end up with a Redshirt for a year. That would put a nice two year gap between them.

they might both start, possibly not at the same position. Who would have thought our 4 star stud QB recruit (Flynn) would be starting at a position other than QB?

Right now, Arnaud is the more polished QB but Bates is probably the better athlete. Arnaud is going to be tough to beat but whoever is better will play and the other one will backup, switch positions or transfer.

It means one thing we will have a solid qb. Two highly regarded quarterbacks cant both be duds so I look to look at it as russian roulette. One will be better than the other and get the nod. I see Arnuad getting the starter and bates possibly switching to Wide out

Because it's summer and there's nothing better to do. A little speculation never hurt anyone.
