I was just trying to buy tickets for next weeks game and I thought it was weird that all of the tickets no matter where you sit is $28. Why aren't there other prices, does anyone know?

yeah i checked that too, plus on their diagram on the internet, none of their prices color charts match the color charts on the knapp center map. Plus the only seats you can get it seems like are rows 1-3 in the balcony and if you've been there they re behind a railing f which people will walk in front of you the wole time

I called last week. The whole joint is one price.

Again, beware the first few rows in the upper sections are restriced view (or at least have been in the past if they've reconfigured). The don't seem to be telling you that any longer.

this makes no sense but thanks for explaining to me. Its weird to find one straight rate for the entire place.

It is essentially a high school gym, not really a bad seat in there. Make sure to lock your car and hide your valuables though.

Drake has charged one price for the Iowa State game and Iowa game for the last few years. All other games they have various prices depending on the seats.

Yeah Drake ad sandy hatfield is another dandy along with greg barfa at the u of i. I guess ms hatfield thinks that everyone is gonna pay twice the price to see iowa state play in des moines...well i for one will not be contributing to the drake athletic dept so i gueess i will just watch the game on the television.

Yeah, the pricing is kind of odd there. My theory is that their ticket office folks can barely handle one price for tickets, much less try to comprehend different price levels. I'm pretty sure my tickets are in the first couple rows of the "upper" level...don't worry about that, you can just stand up if you have trouble seeing. The main thing is to get to the game.

I'll echo some of the other posts..........do not get seats in the first few rows of the upper section. You will be bobbing and weaving your head the entire game like a welterweight boxer trying to watch the game while people walk in front of you. Also the railing is directly in your line of sight.

My front row "obstructed view priority seating" tickets arrived yesterday

I couldn't pay 28bucks to see Drake. I think I'll sit at home with beer, chips and my TV.

I am appalled they are charging more for this game than their other games. Are they thinking this is their "Final Four" championship game?

Oh wait, didn't Pollard just do this for the UI vs ISU game this year?

They can charge as much as they want, I will just choose not to pay the price to watch the game. The Drake/ISU rivalry is not worth $5 to me!

That is how I fell about isu as well, it has gotten too expensive especially for the product we are seeing in football and basketball. I have kids to send to college so the university is going to get it no matter what.

I can understand families not wanting to spend over $100 to go support our team at Drake but I can't comprehend a big Cyclone fan living within an hour radius of Des Moines just saying "screw it, I'll watch it on t.v." I guess it takes being out of the state for a year to shake off the "taking it for granted" syndrome that a lot of people have around here.
