My vacation request from work was denied. So Im stuck in the office. Does anyone know a station I can use on IHeart radio that will carry the game? Is KXNO carrying it?

I don't think you can listen on iheart. I've tried before. I heard of people using "tunein" radio app and having some luck.

Download the TuneIn Radio AP. Go to KGYM Cedar Rapids

This would probably be your best bet. I've tried using IHeart for games before and I've never had luck finding them. The stations that usually broadcast the games OTA still broadcast music through IHeart I believe.

I dont think the ISU contract allows stations to broadcast over the internet.

When I was listening to KXNO yesterday I thought I heard them say they would be broadcasting the Big12 tourney. May want to double check, I'm not completely sure.

Cyclones.TV , just like every other game for the past few years. If you're too cheap to subscribe then you probably didn't want to listen to the game that much anyways.

I think this is actually the correct answer. It doesn't matter if it's IHeartRadio, TuneIn or trying to listen to a station's online stream ... Internet streaming rights for sporting events are not generally included with radio broadcast rights.

I had a heck of a time finding any online stream for ISU football games last fall. Stations are supposed to black out the game broadcasts online. That's why I would usually get a notice on TuneIn that "this station is unavailable at this time." And then they would substitute some crappy sports talk radio from somewhere else.

That said ... persistence can pay off. If you have a list of stations in the Cyclone network that are broadcasting the game, just start going through the list on TuneIn (or maybe even IHeartRadio, that might work too). If you are lucky, eventually you might come across a station, usually a small-town one, that either doesn't know or doesn't care that they are supposed to black out the live game broadcast. That worked for me last fall.

On the other hand, since ISU actually kept the Internet streaming rights themselves in order to monetize Cyclones.tv, you could just pay up for Cyclones.tv access. You get to listen to the game, and ISU gets money for it.

Yep. I listened to the OSU game last week while travelling for work. Streamed it through my phone Synced into my vehicle out of state. Worked great.

Did the same during the 2nd half vs WVU while traveling on Saturday. Watched the first half at BDubbs... should have stayed there. I wanted to pull my hair out on the drive!
