He has cancer, but he is getting treatment at a wonderful center in Houston and last I heard he was expected to recover fully.

I wish him the best. he was, imo, a great kid to have on the team. he always gave me the impression of a hard working kid. i didnt know he got an OWI. was that his senior season?

Yeah, he got an OWI a few weeks before the start of the 2003 season, which gave Flynn the starting job. I was quite happy. ;D

i wish cris the best. I had the chance to meet him during his senior year, and he seemed like a good guy who had his head on straight. OWI's happen to lots of people, I don't hold that against him. I hope he gets healthy soon!!

Chris Love was a pile, and lost us the Humanitarian Bowl!

Man, you guys are brutal. Nothing like kicking a guy when he's down.

yea this isn't the thread to share your feelings about the guy as a football player, he is a man going through some problems in life and he gave 5 years on the bench to the program and deserves everyones support. Any Cyclone, regardless of what they did on and off of the field, deserves our support in life, they go out there and give their all to try to be better football players to put a good product on the field to please the fans and even though some don't work out like they are supposed to, they still deserve the best!

So put that aside for one second and shut up!!! Sorry to say that, but yea the forum is for that, but can you put that aside for just this one thread, who cares what he did on the football field for this one thread. I am sure you suck at a lot of **** in life too, obviously at realizing when to shut up about football, but their you go!

This is a football message board, yes, but if someone brings up the status of a person who is going through a rough time, throw that aside for just a second and forget about what the kid did just for one second, football is not life!! I understand where you are coming from, but this isn't the thread to criticize a guy who underachieved for us 2 or 3 years ago, that would be the thread-Cris Love sucked from 2000-2004!
