We have a group going to Morgantown this fall. Any one know where the visitor section is? If you look at a stadium seating chart there is one section (133) that is a different color from the rest of the nearby sections. Can anyone confirm if that is the visitor section?

I was in 98 or 99 in 2021. Those tickets were through Iowa State.

I was probably in the 102 area when I went. Full of ISU fans.

Based on the seating chart @theshadow posted, Section 133 is listed as the Family Fun Zone. In West Virginia that could have a whole different meaning so be careful getting tickets in that section.

We were in section 100 when we went out 6 years ago or so. Right in the corner of the back of the endzone, decent seats. Be sure to lock up your parking before you go, they had quite a few lots down by the hospital, and a short walk to the stadium. Great tailgating crowd to be around, WV is a lot like ISU fans, they like to give out food and drink and very good natured people. Best tailgating environment, we have ever had for a road game.

VERY hospitable fans. The poster on here, Sunedogsc is a great tailgate host.

SO we have a group of 10-12 attending the West VA game. Already have transportation and lodging locked down. But I'm open to any advice on the following topics:

1. parking/tailgating options
2. good dining
3. local tourist attractions
4. what he best free W VA message board

Blue Lot will get you right in the thick of things and close to the Mountaineer Mantrip, which is their version of the spirit walk.

I would definitely recommend Mario's Fishbowl and have some wings...

The monorail system that is used for campus student transport is an interesting way to tour WVU. Same as DisneyWorld. Was built first as a test run before the Disney project.

There are lots of old, small hole in the wall off campus bars. Kepler’s is a highly rated Sports Bar that is a larger venue & not far from the stadium. We went there before & after the game having parked close by and walked to the game. Bring good walking shoes. Morgantown is hilly.

Get parking tickets for the blue or green lots. We were in the green lot, very easy to get in and out of the stadium and a short walk through the blue lot to get to the stadium.
We drove over to Coopers Rock, an overview park about 15 minutes from Morgantown, its the one they show when WV is on TV. Very nice area to spend 30 minutes in the fall.

The people of WV are a lot like here in Ames, walk around the parking lots, and you will be offered plenty of food and drink. Be carefully about the moonshine, it has a tendency to taste great and then 30 minutes later it hits you.

Gorm

With any luck we will be there by Tuesday.

The Monorail at Epcot in Disneyworld began in 1971.

The monorail at WV university began in 1975.
