Very true. But the other thing with beer is that there is some lead time there. Do they make enough right away to sell the hell out of it? Or start with a smaller batch?
I'm anticipating they will go big at launch to meet tailgating demand as best they can. It takes awhile to ferment a lager so hopefully they have a ton in their tanks currently. I'm not sure how much their capacity is though.

So this ******* Swarm beer is everywhere..Caseys, Hyvee, etc. I live in NE Iowa so I thought maybe it was my location but down south here for Knoxville nationals this weekend and its everywhere. This is all good but I am disappointed the Ames Lager and Peacetree Trice is nowhere to be found....Where can I get the ISU beers?

It takes a bit to make a quality lager, will be worth the wait! Will be everywhere on August 25th.

Parts Unknown
Walden & Orr wine coolers.

I know the Cyclone Zima is in the works. I can only hope someone has the business acumen to market those gems too

Best music video of all time and the cheerleaders are smoking hot. Of course they are all in their mid 50s now, but I'm guessing they are still beautiful

West O works with the same distributors as Exile so as long as the distributors carry via requests from bars/restaurants/stores it will be very similar. I think we can out-drink Iowa fans, if so this would be a game changer for our budget, but the traditional donations still are very important :)
Brent- what is your target annual donations for the collective?

For the beer or total of all possible donations? We basically need to get to $4M total to not be in the bottom 20 percent of power five schools. We have a ways to go. Some concern with keeping the great recruiting classes that have been signed. That’s why all the items add up (beer or anything else) but we really need all Cyclone fans to continue to support as much as possible.

I'm just interested in seeing what kind of distribution these 3 beers have. I've seen beers from all 3 breweries before in my local hyvee, but usually just 1 or 2 beers from each. If I have a chance to buy all 3 beers, I'll stock the freaking fridge.
What is bizarre to me is that all the stores near me are stocking Hawktoberfest but not Clonefest from the same brewer, Backpocket. Not sure if Clonefest just hasn't been released yet or if it is just a sign that I should move if I want any of these Iowa State beers.

That makes me feel a little better. I was wondering if it was just delayed distribution vs blatant ignorance of offering it in a market they brew the beer in (Dubuque).

I'm nervously awaiting my local Urbandale HyVee to get it. I know the Wine and Spirits manager is a HUGE hawkeye homer, and they've had a big old display of Swarm Ale and Swarm Vodka.

I haven't looked for Hawktober or Clonefest yet.

I also noticed that there is no Cody Road on the shelves over teh weekend at all. Probably coincidental?
