Chili Peppers were on a Friday a couple years back if I remember right.

U are correct sir. Was an awesome concert for those that could make it!! (huge blizzard closed I-80 and I-35 earlier in the day)

I was on my way back from CO when I found out I needed to take I 70 home to even have a chance at making it back. Ended up having to stay in a hotel in KC the night b4, and leaving at 5 am to make it back to DSM by 2 pm... was a LONG drive...but well worth it!!:wink:

Aren't concerts these days attended primarily by highschool kids? And those kids are either watching or playing games on Friday nights.

Not sure what you do for a living, but if my company "bumped" our major clients for some other priorities, we would NOT have many clients.

I'm just happy to see concerts in DM. Before WF arena there was nothing besides the oak ridge boys at Prairie Meadows.

Damn this was just a rant...but I think both of the "pro teams" will be gone in 2 years. I think AFL will still be around they pull pretty good numbers.

But hey its a good thing we built a huge arena to see it empty all the time.

I think AC/DC would sell out the Well any night of the week. Don't know how we missed them.

I thought Jessica Simpson was better than expected. The fact she wore a top 2 or 3 sizes too small was an added bonus.

No kidding, she was smoking hot!

As a non-country music fan, it's hard for me to admit this but I had a BLAST at Rascall Flats. They put on a fantastic show and we were right next to the stage about 5 feet away from the performers. To be fair though, I'm not sure I'd even consider them country.

Rascal Flatts was awesome last night. Jessica Simpson was better than expected! Lots of fun...great show! Next up Toby Keith, then Nickleback. I think wells does great for concerts! No matter what night they are on! Some people should just suck it up! If u truely like or love an act it shouldnt matter what night they perform!

Empty all the time??? WTF?? This past Saturday they had both an Energy game at noon and a Chops game that evening. There are now three minor league professional teams that call the place home.

I realize you are just ranting, but leave yourself some creditibility by not simply spouting off on aspects of your beef that simply arent' true.

I know this is not up to the arena but concerts a freaking expensive for the most part. I am sorry I do not have tons of extra money floating around. Our entertainment $'s are pretty limited with two young children in daycare costing $14,000/year!

I appreciate this thread for reinforcing why I don't live in Iowa anymore. (that and the 60+ degree days we've been having while Iowa was as cold as Pluto.)
