Til you get your foot hit by the water. Looks like a high pressure power washer that would take your skin right off.

Thats what I was thinking. What is to keep your elbow, foot, or hand from getting into the jet of water. That jet would definitely hurt, if not injure.

Your feet are in the stirups and your hands are on the controls. I would try that in a heartbeat.

they said it's the same as a fireman's hose and people get sprayed with those all the time without injury.

Yes, firehoses couldn't hurt a thing. That is why police forces use them against protesters. You know, to melt them if they are witches.
