Well, my coworkers finally talked me into using Visio instead of Excel for some flowcharts, etc. They can't, however, tell me how to change the connector defaults so I don't have to manually take the arrow out every flippin time. Can anybody help me here?

Visio 2007? Try going to Format -> Theme then go to Theme Effects and create a New Theme Effect. Under the Connector tab you should be able to choose your beginning and ending and can select None for a simple line.

I can try and help...if you're dragging the shapes over from the left column make sure you're using the pointer tool and not the connector tool.

If you're on the connector tool and you click on a shape that's already in your chart and then drag a new shape over it automatically connects the two. As long as you don't click on the shape that's already in your chart you can drag shapes over without them connecting.

But the safest thing to do is to use the pointer tool...hope that helps.
