We can only wish to that level. He does have a similar game though he's gonna have to really step his trash talk up if he wants to fill those shoes.
Yeah I mean not so much his passing and stuff but his shooting and the way his shot look are so Bird like. Can’t wait to see how much he can grow.

To all the college basketball historians...I know there is a lot of season left but have any elite scorers/shooters of the past had a more efficient freshman year than Milan? He is currently shooting 41% from three and 91% from the free throw line at 13.3 ppg.

JJ Redick
Doug McDermott
Tyler Haws
Mike Daum
Kyle Korver
Jimmer Fredette

Id imagine he stacks up pretty favorably with all of the above. As his game continues to evolve and he adds strength Id imagine he will start posting up smaller guards on the block and getting to the foul line at a higher clip. If he starts scoring in the paint at a higher level his scoring totals are going to soar.

So I guess my question...if he sticks around college for a few years are we looking at a potential all-time great and a guy who could lead the nation in scoring? I think youd be hard pressed to find too many more impressive/efficient freshman campaigns.

As I recall, Milan narrowed his choices to UCLA and ISU. After he committed to Iowa State, there were these UCLA guys on a podcast who were just incredulous. It was just beyond their comprehension how that could happen. Typical California, nothing matters outside our state.

Well, fast forward. Milan is starting on a team that is 10-2. Playing for a great coach. With some great teammates. In the far superior conference over PAC12 or over any conference. And who would want to play PAC12 anyway? Name their top teams. Arizona. That's it! And Colorado will likely have a good season because they are playing 10 crappy teams twice. We are the ones who should be incredulous wondering how he even considered the currently 6-6 UCLA.
I've been searching for this podcast given Milan's production and Iowa State's rank compared to UCLA. Does anybody have the link?
