Updated Depth Chart (9-13)

I'd like to see Money move ahead of SJ. I thought Money played very hard and blocked really well. SJ continues to drop passes that have to be caught.

About SJ and drops - I guess I don't remember that for this game. NIU - yes - he had 2 maybe 3 drops. UI - maybe one.

The biggest drop of the day IMO - Jake Williams down the sideline on 3rd down. That was ridiculous.

Darius Reynolds needs to be given the ball a LOT more. Darius Reynolds and Sh Johnson need to have many more touches.

We are so limited with guys who can make big plays.

Perfectly thrown ball, but Iowa's DB made the play. That could've been a big difference maker. We score on that drive, I think things would've been much different. But who knows...

Darius was so good at blocking and YAC. I watched the replay. His only problem seemed to be stopping as soon as the play passed him.

Lattimer rocked the few times he was in. I still don't get what happened on the personal foul. I've watched that ten times and can't see a foul. He must've said something that the ref heard.

I think the announcers said he put his hand on the runner's facemask either as he got up or after getting up. Probably accompanied by some verbal taunting I would assume.

I'm sure multiple DB's and DE's are being evaluated for the LB position. I'm guessing we'll see a few more war tested LB's by the end of the year.

Forget the Iowa game stats, nerves just got to the offense.

K-State game motivation? Think 1 point loss last year.
Every player for ISU will play their best.

He also hauled in a couple of balls against NIU that were virtually un-catchable, really impressive grabs I thought. So I suppose it all evens out in the end.

He should not be dropping so many that are very catchable, even though he makes the very difficult catches. That is a sign of a focus problem. If he cannot get his head in the game and focus on every catch, then someone who can needs the chance. At best, he will get 10-15 passes per game. Is it too much to ask for total focus on those plays?

Does anyone know what happened to CJ Morgan?? In a burnham camp interview he stated he was the most field ready freshman??? LB depth is killing us this year.....
Looks like we only have two adequately sized linebackers on the team after the Matt injury. We are close to the edge of needing to do something drastic. You know that KSU will come right at them this weekend.

Lamaak used to be a QB. there we go if AA gets Hurt I know who should be put in.

I hope to see more of Shontrelle Johnson this game! He gave it his all every time he touched the ball!

Sadly he was the only one that looked like he was putting in any effort. He did look really good.

I can't understand why Sed Johnson is ahead of Reynolds. Every week that he continues to drop balls, and stay ahead of Reynolds, I get increasingly irritated. I think Darks and Williams are deserving of their spot, but it seems to me that Reynolds shows a lot more than Johnson.

I'd also like to see Shontrelle on the field more, and at the same time as A-Rob. Whether that's 2 guys in the backfield, or one of them split out, I don't really care.

You must not have been paying close attention because many players were trying very hard, they were just completely out-matched.

C.Franklin 8 for 98
A. Robinson 10 for 91
D.Darks 10 for 88
D.Reynoldss 4 for 52
S. Johnson 6 for 45
J. Williams 3 for 28

I don't like to play the "on pace for" card, but Arob(on pace for 60 catches) could have a reasonable shot at around 45-50 catches this year.
If it moves the chains so be it.

Everyone is in meltdown mode, but face it...Iowa is most likely far and away the best defense the Clones will face all year. Hit the reset button and move on.

he finished the tackle and tried to get up quickly to celebrate. Looks like he pushed off the backs head to get up but he was not around the back long enough to say squat. It was a BS call plain and simple. If they call that they missed a bunch during the game. He was sprinting away from the back right after the tackle. This one still ****** me off.

Move Neal to OLB and have Lattimer take his spot. Instant upgrades in both positions. Not sure how good Neal is in coverage but I doubt he is significantly better or worse than our other linebackers.

I'm hoping this is a joke. Probably the most painful thing about this site is everyone wanting "x" to be a linebacker. Of all positions other than QB that one takes the most intangibles, so the game of making suggestions is ridiculous because I don't think any of us know their ability to read, react, take angles, know how and when to flow or when to fill a gap. Washington did a good job being active, but got pushed around and probably no tackles within 5 yards.
