From an ISU Football program from the late 70's- early 80's there was a guy named **** Clapper. I don't remember if he was a athletic booster or what.

I worked with a woman named Sharon Peters!

There is a car dealership in Waterloo named after the owner, **** Witham. How funny of a name is that for a card dealer?

My wife knew a girl named Summer who once dated a guy with the last name Camp. They never got married, but it would have been funny if they did.

My wife also knew of somebody with the last name Lear who gave their daughter the first and middle names Crystal Shanda.

When I was a kid, a man who applied to be the pastor at our church had the name Owen Butt. He named his son Peter.

I knew a kid, a few grades behind me, with the name Richard Whacker. Man, did he have a chip on his shoulder.

I also worked with someone named Butz. If his mother had kept her name, his would have been Dickson-Butz. A nearly fatal tragedy.

Two regulars at a community theatre that I did work for: Ima House and Iona Camel.

My brother's girlfriend's name is Anita Cox.
A guy that works on our legal team at work is named **** Reiser. I giggle like a kid in junior high every time he is paged on the intercom.

Of course, when they have a kid you KNOW they're gonna name him Mac...

Anyone remember the Providence basketball player from about 10 years ago named God Shamgod? Actually, not that unfortunate, that's kind of a cool name.

Went to school with a Richard Dickhoff, also sold some windows to a guy named Manly Shank. I get the feeling nobody messed with him when he was younger.

How about the car dealership around Waterloo and Cedar Falls....**** Witham Ford....gotta love that.

Bought a car from him several years ago and laughed my butt off everytime I saw their emblem on the car afterwards.

Good people to deal with however.

WHere I grew up there is a large contigent of the Peters family, including Harry.

Are you from Northern Iowa? My aunt and uncle lived next to a guy named Harry Peters. My favorite was the Reising (pronounced "Rising")family that I went to school with. The father's name was Richard, of course. Man, that joke never got old.
