Urban History PhD candidate Steve Duncan explores urban areas that are pretty much unseen and definitely off-limits to the public. Link is to a 27 minute video of him exploring NYC subway tunnels, The Lincoln tunnel, Canal street sewers and the Williamsburg Bridge. The video is so fascinating and somewhat heart-racing.

It's dangerous and illegal for sure, but really cool to see what he discovers.

Also, two other links from the first link. One is an NPR interview/article about Steve Duncan. Second link is to a NYT article about urban exploring. Very cool.

Pretty awesome. The bridge would be scary.

Im sure there is all sorts of crazy stuff like this in cities. Forgotten tunnels, basements, etc. I love watching these.

Thanks for the link. Would love to see a video like this done in Ames.

And another vote for the jaretec Urban Exploring at ISU thread as the greatest ever.
