Wow is it sad this is how I'm learning who we play first round as I forgot the second it was announced? I've been talking to everyone about games past that.
I know that this has nothing to do with our match-up on Thursday, but I just had to copy these quotes from their board......because, let's face it, it will make you smile.

Technically incorrect. This year's ratio is the 2nd best in NCAA history, so he did not break the record two years in a row.

UAB is not like TT. TT would beat UAB. This game should not be close. I thought they would be a 16 seed honestly. They are young and don't have much for a bench. Any foul trouble and they are in serious trouble. I'm far less worried about this 1st rd game then I was last year. I guess anything can happen but if this team is focused at all like in the Conf tourney I see this as a 15-20 pt win.
I can't tell if they are all trolling us or just don't know anything about isu. One called us the Hawkeye's and said tubbby Smith coached us at one time. Another said we aren't elite athletically, and while some of our players aren't, not many teams you face has the center as the fastest player on their team.
I'm sure Fred will call Doc Sadler for a scouting report and Haase will ask Mr. Self for some advice.

At this point I am positive they are trolling us. Which is fun. Good on them. Seems like a decent group.

Yes, they are trolling us, but since I know they are reading this, note the last 3 first round NCAA opponents. Fred has his team ready come March.
Also, "they were a different team come conference time?" Ya, probably because of the conference you were in. We lost 6 games including the conference tourney during conference play in the toughest conference in the nation. UAB lost 6 games in conference USA. Enough said.

To be fair, we did lose to Texas tech so they can hang their hats on that. Also, you shouldn't expect them to just see ISU as their opponent and say, "we have no chance, let's not even play"
that said, if we lose this game, it will be more embarrassing than the Texas tech game due to the national attention it will get. We will win.
