UAB plays 3 freshmen a lot of minutes, so maybe they're starting to grow up a bit at the end of the year. Their leading scorer, Robert Brown, is a transfer from Virginia Tech who originally a Top 100 guard. I think he transferred when Seth Greenberg was fired. Also, it looks like they have a couple long lengthy guys who can block shots.

That's why I'm not taking what they're saying seriously. I mean they could win - anybody could win but many of them haven't a clue. Even when they know we beat Kansas 2 out of 3 times, won the Big 12 Championship Tournament, tied for the most RPI top 50 wins in the country , etc...they still think we are weak.

They are a team that played into the tourney via winning their conference tourney. Their RPI is comparable to TCU's. They played just 4 games against teams that are in the tourney and they lost all four. We won 14 games against tourney teams. In the past 5 years, they have won 1 game against a ranked opponent. We have won 9 this year alone.

Our 14 wins against tourney teams:
Texas - 3
Kansas - 2
Oklahoma - 2
West Virginia - 2
Oklahoma State - 2
Iowa - 1
Georgia State - 1
Arkansas - 1

Losses against tourney teams:
Baylor - 2 (seeded 3)
Kansas - 1 (seeded 2)
Oklahoma - 1 (seeded 3)
Maryland - 1 (seeded 4)
