Obviously anything can happen in the NCAA Toirnament, but Iowa State will be prepared and jacked for this game. I think Iowa State wins by about 10-12 points.

They've got some decent posters, but also some guys who seem to be trying out for GoEMAW.

My favorite was the the guy who was "just thinking" about Fred Hoiberg being a candidate for the Alabama job. I mean I was just thinking about Gisele leaving Tom Brady for me.

"I was just thinking a few hours ago that Hoiberg might be someone that Alabama might go after. He is a hot young coach."

We can relate.

Not really. Our football team is horrible, that's true. But their football team is... non existent. Their president shut the football team down, and as details start to come out, it sounds like it was a political decision instead of a money one. And despite faculty votes of no confidence, the BOT is spending a lot of money to make that president look better for reasons no one quite understands.

I guess, as long as we are as good as we have been, I should get used to Iowa State playing generally likable teams early in the tourney. Not every small school is going to be as thoroughly unlikable as UNI.

Jerod Haase is their coach. That makes them hateable IMO. That guy was a tool.

... that's right. Screw that guy.

Article from al.com

Facing 6-foot-8, 230-pound Big 12 Tournament MVP Georges Niang of Iowa State won't be quite as overwhelming after dealing with 7-foot, 234-pound national player of the year candidate Frank Kaminsky of Wisconsin.

I think the author may have a different opinion on Friday.

The third-youngest team in college basketball this season wasn't ready to handle that level of competition in November and December, but look at the baby Blazers now. Since the calendar flipped to 2015, they're 15-6.

Of those 6 losses, 4 were against teams ranked 216 or worse rpi. Of their 15 wins only 2 were rpi ranked above 117, while 7 were ranked below 200.

Blazer fan here, and yeah, we're just trolling you guys. Most of the fans (the realistic ones anyway) are just happy to be in the tourney, since no one expected us to be here, given the overall youth on this team. More than anything, we just want the guys to learn about the NCAA experience this year, to hopefully set up success there for the next couple years.

Those of us that follow college basketball know that Iowa St. is for real and it'll take our "A+" game and then some to pull of the upset. Like I said, most of us are just happy to be here, so we're just having some fun. Assuming yall get past us (hoping it doesn't happen, but knowing it probably will), I look forward to watching yall in the tourney. Iowa st is for real.

Thanks for coming over.

Reading their board they seem pretty versed in the message board trash talk/trolldom. Which, while I can respect, it does make me feel a little like Doc Holliday in Tombstone.

Don't you come over here trying to be all nice and reasonable. We're looking for reasons to get our hate on right now! :jimlad:

I'll tell you the truth. I'm a little confused by your tactics. I'm gonna keep acting tough..until I figure it out. All right?
