Could be because SMC hit 8 today when only had 7 total in all their other games todate.
I didn't get to see or listen to this. What kind of defense did we face? 1-10 by Moody with two free throws suggests she didn't drive and get fouled, but 7 of her shots were two's. What is Jadda doing - not very effective? On the bright side, when did we last get single digit turnovers three games in a row? I remember when Bill set a goal of 14.

We shot a million three pointers.
For those who watched, the first 30 minutes of the game we shot up probably close to 30 three pointers. 1 three pointer a minute is something I don't even think Fred can fathom.
Then, we started actually playing basketball. Seanna was driving it in, Nikky was kicking it out to an open Brynn and found Fallon for three once. But it wasn't until we started making SMU move around on defense that we started putting up points.

While I think our team is very fit, other than Bre and Fallon they are a pretty slender group, and the officiating has seemed to return to swallowed whistles let em play officiating. I think we are short a banger. BF likes the finesse players, but we are going to see some big banger squads in Big 12.

I was wondering the same thing. If I remember correctly... She did not play on the Italy trip. There is definitely something going on with her. She just looks off so far this year.
Yes, bummer she missed that lay up, but even with that bucket, we would have been down a point. What disappointed me was that we couldn't get a stop on the one gal - was her name Jenson from Australia - she was going crazy, putting up way too many noncontested shots from what I could see.
Two primary problems. They put up a zone against us daring us to hit from outside. We couldn't buy a basket in the first half. Second, our defense left them with way to many uncontested shots.
The chance to tie up the score with 10 seconds left would have changed the outcome I think. Below is the official transcript of the pxp and we were down by two. We had momentum and would have had a better chance of winning had Moody made that layup.

Sorry, I actually thought we were down 2 but I thought I heard the announcer say down 3. Anyway, after her missing and the ball going the other way, I shut it down. The game shouldn't have come down to that.
